Valentine

Alright so Dr. Caroline is out doing field research on a new glowplume that showed up on the trail cameras but it's taking them a lot longer to find him than expected so I've been asked to catch up on the logs that have backed up since she left.

First up on the list is Valentine, a little dracoviper from Weeper and Cyclone's nest. He and one of his brothers were the smallest of the batch, and unfortunately were the last children left with their parents when both of them expired. I've been informed by the couple observing Weeper and Cyclone that this was the pair's third nesting in a short timespan, so the current theory was that there were complications that took Weeper's life. Cyclone also died shortly after due to a broken heart, which is very common with strongly bonded species like the dracoviper.

Due to the stress of the situation and without the direction of their parents Valentine and Scion split up, Valentine was last spotted around his birthplace in Stego Mountain, and we have strong evidence that he has made that area into his territory for the time being.

He inherited his father's mutation of keeping his juvenile coloring so we worry that he might have issues finding a mate or might be attacked by other dracovipers thinking he will be easy prey. All we can do is hope at this point, he doesn't seem like the type to back down easily though so we'll see how he handles himself later on.
